98 XJ rwd - PO740 & PO751

Still feel like I don't know much of anything but I have a couple questions. Probably basic stuff for most of you guys ... LOL

First question: My daughters 98 Sport RWD has the CEK light on with a PO 740, PO751 and the generic PO700. The transmission has been replaced since these errors originally came on. It basically wasn't moving at all. With the replacement trans it seems to run fine, shift fine and the power seems fine but the codes still pop right up. Any ideas of what could cause these. I find it hard to believe that two transmissions are throwing the same error codes.

Second question: Same 98 sport. The serpentine belt is riding about 1/8" to 1/4" off the pulley at the clutch fan (not sure what that pulley is properly called). It's fine on all the other pulleys. Looking at all the pulleys from the side they look to be aligned. What is the best way to check the alignment of all the pulleys? Or any ides of what could cause it to slide off that pulley that far?

Cleaning the NSS and checking/adjusting the brake switch are first up on the list of things to check. Anything else?

Guess I'm on my own. Have a good one.
