This is where it sits at the moment. I wasn't able to fit my hand down to the #1 plug to feel for pressure cause it's way to tight with the ac compressor in the way.

Close but did you rotate the crankshaft 180 degrees from where you had in that first pic and end up with the damper mark on the zero mark?
Temporarily reinstall you distributor cap and mark the side of the distributor on cenrerline with #1 cable tower on the cap. Remove the cap and see where the rotor is pointing.
Refer to the pic in post #6. It shows the position of the rotor relative to #1 tower on my modified cap. It's just past #1. The rotor will not point directly at #1 with the damper/timing chain cover marks aligned.
Edit: If you can drop that punch in when the damper is not at zero, the distributor needs to be removed and reinstalled properly.

Something else I did was rotate the rotor to point towards #1 and then remove the distributor as a whole. Then I aligned the crank at zero then reinstalled the distributor.

Sorry just posted that before you edited it. I dropped the pin and removed it so it wouldn't move when I removed it. Reinstalled after setting the damper to zero.

After reinstalling the distributor and turning it over a few times still no start. I realigned the damper to zero and now this is where it is pointing. Pretty close to six.

Here's the insructions:

Here's some pics to help:
Markings on the engine adjacent to the distributor hole. The yellow mark at the 11:00 o'clock position is where you need to align the slot in the oil pump drive.
The yellow mark at 1:00 is where you will align the distributor hold down fork as you stab the distributor in the hole.
With the pin punch in place, line up the 1:00 o'clock line with the middle of the fork and let the distributor rotate into place. The distributor hold down bolt hole should be in the center of the fork.

Distributor installed, without the hold down clamp and bolt installed:

Install the hold down clamp and bolt. Securely tighten the bolt.

Did all that and still no luck . When it's turning over it will sputter like it's trying to start but still nothing. Guess I should pull the timing cover and see about the cams being aligned right?

I was actually just about to go to autozone and rent a fuel pressure tester gauge. And possibly a compression gauge also. It was running just 2 weeks ago when I bought it. I pulled the distributor like I've been doing and after that is when I started acting like this. Granted the timing was still off when it WAS running, but nonetheless it was still running. Now it won't start at all.
And yeah sorry, I know it's only got one cam. Damn phone is wanting to spell things for me.
