98 Cherokee vibration problems

AS title states i have a 98 cherokee 4 wheel drive that has a bad vibration around 65-70 mph. The father in law seems to think it is the tires out of balance, but i just had them balanced about two to three months ago. Hub assemblies-good, u joints-good, Axle bearings in rear-good, all other bearings like yolks and tc seem to be fine. Im stumped only thing i can think of is the tires too. i dont know what else it could be and would like some advice before i go get them balanced once again. Advise me please of anything im missing. Thanks

Vibration

I had my 96 with a similar problem the front drive shaft from the transfer case to the front axel was slightly bent( I couldn't tell just to look at it)it only surfaced at the 60 -70 mile and hour range. The Transmission shop I go to discovered it and once replaced the problem was gone, Might be worth your while to have someone take a look might also be a ball joint causing shimmy at higher speeds

Good Luck

Well went and got the wheels balanced thats not the issue. If i had a bad belt in one of the tires would this cause my problem? Also could my rear yolk bearing be going bad?

Where (approximately) is the vibe coming from? Do you feel it in the steering wheel, do you feel it under your feet or does it feel like it's coming from the rear end?

I cant quite tell if it is coming from under my feet or the rear end. i would more or less say the rear end but i dont know. My father in law is taking it to his best friends shop tomorrow and see what they can see. Thanks guys i will keep you all posted.

Sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean wipped like worn out or bad...? Thanks for the input let me know

Well the father in law took it to the shop and said it felt like it was under the tranny. They are going to more investigate Saturday.

my customer is a young kid and didn't get the concept that if the transfer case is leaking it will run out of fluid..the vibe started about a week ago felt just like a bad joint...there is a ton of slop in the chain inside the case and i wouldn't be surprised if it needs bearings...aka whipped t-case

x3 on front drive shaft. I had this exact problem till this week when i took out the front drive shaft. problem gone. went to jy and got a drive shaft, and now no more bad vibes. it would take all of 15 minutes and a 5/16ths wrench to pull it out
