97xj starts but immediately dies.....

Been chasing a gremlin through my 97 xj for days now and got this far.....as is I get no power to the fuel pump. If I bypass the relay it powers up and will start but immediately dies....I get the same result if I bypass the asd relay....crank position sensor possibly?

Does it try to stay running if you keep the foot on the gas. If so it could me the cps

Honestly I was just so happy and excited to hear it start I didnt try to give it gas. It was getting dark so I went in. Ill try giving it gas...see what happens

I gather if any wires to your o2 sensors, short , (pay special attention to the rear), it will blow a small fuse that will cause that. (ASD relay issue). Not #17 (it's surely fine)....or not.

I think the 02 sensor stuff would show up in a free code scan at the auto parts store...if you could get there!
