Default In-Dash Brake Light Still On..

So I looked at my wheel cylinders and noticed that driver rear one was busted as I could see the fluid had been leaking. I went ahead and bought a new wheel cylinder and drum brakes and replaced it earlier this morning. Bled out the brake as well and topped it off under the hood with brake fluid. Took it out for a drive and did errands around town, big difference so far. But still the brake light is on.

But get this, I did take it to a local friend of mine who looked at it. He did put some brake fluid in the canister as it was pretty low and he said the brake light came off... but eventually came back on obviously as that wheel cylinder was leaking fluid. So that's when I decided to fix it. Just confused as to what I may have done wrong or forgot to do or check.

Any ideas why it is still on?

Thanks guys!

First make sure you have no leaks. If after bleeding the brakes and if they're good to go press VERY HARD on the brake peddle to reset the brake light. Had to do this after doing the rear disc conversion.

Hey EZEARL this did the trick! I did it at first without the vehicle on and then turned it on and did it once more and it made a click sound to which the Brake Light went off. Hopefully it stays that way! As far as I know there are no other leaks.

Very much appreciated EZEARL!

Very good! I forgot to add have the vehicle running. Mine made the click to and hasn't come on since.

Yeah, that click... awesome! I do plan on replacing the passenger rear fairly soon. But as far as I know everything seems to be a-ok now.
