I have a 98 cherokee classic (manuf 9/97). From what I understand, the 97 and 98 cherokees have the same type of hvac control. (the main difference is that after 98, the cold/hot switch is electronic, whereas the 97 & 98 have a cable)

I only have the #1 and #4 setting for the fan control. I went to the junkyard, got another hvac control unit, and have the same problem.

While I realize it's possible that the "new" unit has the same problem, I am wondering if anyone else has ran into this?

Maybe the actual blower fan has an issue? is this something easy to reach?
