97-02 factory flare install
Anyone know how to install a factory fender flare? Got s new fender with all intact mounts and I bought a new fender flares to put there from quadratec. I don't want to break anything.

You snap the metal pieces onto the flare first. Then, you work the splash shield into the flare while tightening the nuts evenly.

X2. Always best to snap in the fender flare to the bracket first. You will see how the little tabs on the inside of the fender flare fit into the holes in the bracket. Then attach to the fender. Do yourself a favor. Add some lock washers to the mix and put some anti-seize on the bracket studs. If and when you every need to remove them it will make life easier. Google I snapped the nuts on my fender flare brackets in my '97 to '01 XJ to see why.
