96 xj hatch lock problem

96 xj hatch lock problem
my rear lift hatch lock just spins and wont open .. whats the easiest way to open it and pop it ? do i have to take the inside panels off to get to it or break the tumbler somehow? was hoping someone did this already ..thanx for anyones help
