96 Cherokee Fuel Pump NOT budging...
My husband is at his wits end. He has a 96 Cherokee 4.0 that has a bad fuel pump. The seemingly easy 'twist and pop out' method of removing it is far from working. He's PB Blastered the hell out of it and tried and tried to get it to twist. It's not moving at all. That's the first problem...
SO, now he's trying to siphon half a tank of gas so he can drop the tank. Does anyone happen to know if the 96 has an anti-siphoning device?? The hose just hits something and isn't reaching the tank.
And that's where were at. Any advice on both would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Try using a small hammer and a socket extension or punch to tap the lock ring in the opposite direction a smidge first. But, not hard enough to make a spark and disconnect the battery first.
