96 Cherokee front axle exciter ring broke
A friend has a 97 Cherokee and the guys at the driveline shop broke his left front axle exciter ring when they changed out the u joints. Now the exciter ring has a 1 in gap in it right where the ABS pick up sits. Can you run a 97 without the ABS? Will it go stupid if he tries to drive it with that gap in the ring? Help!!!

Yes it will but you can pull the ABS relay until it's fixed. The ABS won't work but the brakes will be fine. I tried to run chromo shafts in my old ZJ without the rings and the brakes would pulse and ran me in a ditch about a block from the house.
