Default ‘95 XJ : a/c compressor clutch faceplate question

Hey all,

So, if anybody has experience with the 4.0l HO inline6 powerplant’s Air Conditioning compressor pulley - specifically the clutch faceplate - being damaged ( not nonfunctional yet but we do not run it because of the following issue I noticed) i could use some experienced opinions.

The faceplate has those three spring “ tines” (?) or triple bars that are on the faceplate front. After over 350,000 miles on her , two of the three ( see pict I have drawn red arrows pointing to the things I am talking about) of these are cracked at the rivet. The other is hanging on but I want to fix it.
Otherwise, the ac functions but I do not run it thinking that 3rd one will break .

Is this a repair by just replacing the ac comp clutch faceplate ? What do those three flexing spring things do, exactly ?

Here is what I am referencing :

arrows point to two cracked metal spring things ...

I appreciate any advice and help!

Just replace it. Easy job. You dont have to remove the belt. Just take the fan shroud out. Might want to wear some gloves around those fan blades.

Heres a video.
