'95 Not Starting
Here is my story. I was fixing a few cosmetic issues from a stolen stereo a few years ago. Basically using epoxy to mount the broken radio frame and replacing the AC/Heater controls that were broken but functional. After installing the radio and heater, the jeep started up fine and all worked. I needed to take off the steering column cover to fit the dash bezel on. (The original had been missing for years.) Bit of a rough removal on the steering column cover, but everything was still plugged in. I installed the dash bezel and tried to start, but the was no crank, just a loud click. Also, I popped off the trim around the gear shift and put a few drops of silicone glue along the snaps to prevent the crazy vibration noise. Don't think this makes a difference, but I pulled it off again and all the connections are good under there.
Main Problem: When turning the key, there is a loud click from the solenoid engaging, but no normal cranking, starting sound. Issued that I've checked:
Possible Issues: CPS? Thanks for looking. Any tips would be appreciated. |
Try starting it in neutral
|
Just tried to start in neutral, no go. Just read a post on the NSS, so I wiggled it a bunch as well. Still no start. Thanks!
Contiuing to test. Pulling all fuses and checking CPS via the guide in the link below. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/h...start-1424302/ |
