Default 95 Fuel Pump Sending Unit

95 4.0L starting leaking fuel at connection between fuel pump and fuel filter. Replaced line and it's still leaking so wiggled stuff around and sure enough the nipple was rusted and broke right off. Trying to find a sending unit and nothing. 93 sending unit appears to be the same but haven't found anything where anyone has used them successfully. Can anyone confirm this will work so I don't have to tear it apart to find that it doesn't work and be stuck.

Hmmm. I just did a quick check, and according to moparpartsgiant, the 94 to 96 are the same, but they don't list other years, which suggests that the 93 won't work.

I tried a few other sites, but those things seem to be made of Unobtanium.

That's weird because from all the research I've done 96 is definitely different. The plug is different which isn't a big deal, but it shows it as being a one nipple setup without a return line.

96 was a transitional year. They made a lot of changes during the model year, so parts are sometimes for the older version, sometimes for the newer.

Makes me glad I don't have a 96!

So far I've found that the tanks are identical. And the pictures I'm seeing seem to match mine except there is no ground terminal on the face of the sending unit. So I think I'm gonna go for it and attempt to just solder a ground terminal or wire on the new unit.

96 can have both styles hence transition year
