I have replaced the rear leaf springs with dorman 929-301 leaf springs. Now I need to change the front coil springs.

I am trying to decide which front coil springs to use. I do not want to use moog cc782 coils due several reviews indicating the top coils collapsing on each other and making noise.

Are ome 2930s the best alternative?

What is the new measurement in the rear from center of the hub to fender flare?

In other words how much do you think the front needs to come up to make you happy?

At some point I am hoping to go down this road.
Haven't decided if I am going to go Dorman, Crown, General Spring, or actual Mopar Up Country rear leafs cause they still seem to be available.
My thinking though is do the rear springs first. Give everything a chance to settle. Assuming the rake is not to bad.
Can deal with a slight rake but am guessing going to need to level it out at least some.
Since she is just a DD thinking maybe the existing springs and a spacer. As long as it is not too much.
I am guessing that is where OVRL4NDXJ is going with his question.

Hub center to flare = 19”
front = 17.5 inch.

I ordered old man emu 2930 coil springs.

I am not putting a 1.5” spacer on top of a worn out coil spring. I had a 1” spacer on my 94 and did not like the way it looked.

I installed the ome 2930 coils. They should settle and match the dorman leafs within a quarter inch.

I'm in the same boat, so it's good to see this is a viable option. How much above stock are you now sitting up front? I figure I can always use longer shackles in the rear if the front gets too high.

\Drives/handles fine. The ride is firmer than it was before but the factory suspension had 218k miles. I also installed new oespectrum shocks at the same time.

Center of hub to flare. Front 19.5" rear 19". The front flares are mounted higher on the body than the rear so keep that in mind. Overall it looks level.

Thanks. I'll have to go and measure mine again. I've got 158k miles on what I can only imagine are original coils and shocks, and there's definitely a bit of a rake (not bad) with the new leafs I put on the rear a couple of years ago. The question now is which shock I should get that have the right amount of travel for the new ride height. You're still using the factory front bump stops?

I have replacement bump stops from ebay/amazon that are stock height. My factory stops dry rotted a long time ago. I am running 235/75/15 tires.

Just went out and measured mine. Front was right at 17.5" and the rear was closer to 17.25. Like I said, I may need a longer shackle when it's all said and done.

Don’t know if it helps but I recently did the “upcountry” lift in mine.

original measurements with worn out suspension was 16.5 in the rear and 17.25 up front.

afterwards the measurements are
19 in the rear
20 up front

i used the heavy duty Crown rear leafs with stock crown shackles

upfront I used the moog782 zj coils I believe. And 3/4 inch spacer.

i love it so far. Cost effective and good my my Daily driver and camping needs.

i used the Monroe shocks

I bought heavy duty coil springs from Napa like 12 yrs ago. They were cheaper than I'd expected and they had them in a couple days. They were the 'heavy duty' ones ...which I bought for snow plowing. The wire size is a tad larger and there are a couple more coils per spring. They're progressive ..which I guess most springs are. Just normal driving around w/o the plow they really don't seem a whole lot stiffer than the OEM's until loaded. I mean, it rides nice as a DD. So for me they work great. It's hard to do a side-by-side comparison b/c at the time I also replaced the shocks too. Just normal Gabriel HD shocks (but what shocks *don't* claim 'heavy duty' anymore?!).

IDK what the NAPA part number is or who makes them.

Nope. I only left the factory isolator.
