95 cherokee clunking and clicking from front end..
My buddie just sold me a jeep that hit a deer for two hundo.. its a really good deal for me and i am happy to say i own 3 cherokees.......the jeep has a clunking that is really bad.. worse at low speeds.. I am positive its a u-joint.. I just wanted others thoughts before i dig in..so it clunks and clicks all the time.. the passenger front wheel sits at a slight angle, very hard to telll unless u stare at it for a minute.. whenn i got under the jeep the pass side hub and brake was a redish brown color.. the drivers side is normal oily and black.. I assumed that the pass side was were the prob was.. the p/o drove it clunking for a year.. so if its a u-joint could there be more damage from the abuse??? thanks in advanced for the replys guys, glen
