My 94 jeep Cherokee XJ country will rev up to 2000 rpm, quickly drop to 1000 then shoot back up to 2000 for about a second and repeats this with no engine light, if i want to build speed i have to keep my revs bellow 2000.
Tried replacing TPS sensor but didn't seem to help.
Would anyone know what might be wrong?

I had a issue very similar if I put my foot to the floor jeep just stuttered. x2 on the clogged cat that fixed my issue

 

What is the fuel pressure in psi?

"No engine light"
Is the bulb burned or missing? Does it illuminate at start up?
