Default 94 xj dash screws sizes

hey,

ive tried many different size screws to get the bottom panel of my dash together as final touch after restoring the whole interrior cause those got lost, its the panel that goes from left to right with the ashtrash in the middle

i want to find the right screw size so i dont mess up the threads i believe it albout 6 or 8 screws..

does anyone know the size or thread, i dont have any of them to match it up at the hardware store.

thank you,
- Marc

Pretty sure you can source those online from a Jeep site that allows for restorations. Something like this but mind you it is for grand Cherokee. Might be the same size.

So just guessing here. #'s 3, 4, or 6? Click on it will make it bigger.

So it appears #3 might be a M4.2x1.41x13.00

#4

Sorry could not find anything for #6. I am just guessing here on all this.

This might help.

I agree I do the same with searching for things sometimes. Now that I have more experience with the XJ's I can find parts a lot easier. Before though I would have asked a million times whats this, where is this, how can I get this, etc. But that is why we are here to help one another so no matter what I will always offer advice if I think it will help.

One thing that helps me is having downloads of every year of XJ parts catalogs. When ever I comment on something if I have first hand experience I say so. Poking around on the forums and internet you read things. Then somebody poses a question on stuff that you have done a little reading on but have no first hand experience with. I will comment on that but use phrases like "My understanding is" or "From poking around on the internet it appears", ETC.
