94 XJ AX15 Shifter does not move
94 XJ 4X4 with ax15 Shifter does not move
Not sure how this happened ,i was not driving. Shifter looks like it in !st , but the trans is in neutral . any ideas ? Thanks Marilyn

Sounds to me like the shift linkage got misaligned and jammed up on you. You'll need to get under the Jeep and straighten it out.

No worries. My XJ actually has the AW4 auto tranny but, I had a hopped up Chevy Nova in my younger days with a 4-speed. It did this same thing after too many speed shifts into 2nd...LOL. It should just take a minor linkage tweak to get you going again. if you have any other questions just ask.

According to this picture it looks like the ax-15 is internally shifted and therefore can't be adjusted. It sounds/looks like you have some internal damage. Someone experienced with the ax-15 will have to advise further diagnosis procedures.
