I was going home from work last night. Everything was going fine until I hit about 45mph. My jeep would randomly "chug" for a split second then snap out of it. Made it home got in this morning started up just fine. Looked at my volt gauge and it was about in the red and the chugging had stopped. What could cause this? Could this be a bad alternator? Any feedback would be awesome! Thanks!

Start with grounds, possible TPS/CPS, battery/cables/plugs/wires/cap/rotor, could be a lot of things at this point really....

 

Forgot to mention that the check engine light was on this whole time too

 

Since you have a cel, check to see what code it has. On your 94 you can check it with the key.
