94 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L Runs like crap
Put new spark plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor on. The vacum reading was 13 and the compression was about 110. There's just no power to the motor at all and tries to die when in gear and tring to move it around there's just no power there. What could it be?
Thanks

No didn't check fuel pressure, probley going to get a new fuel filter, cause I did notice that when I bought the jeep it had a slit in the fuel line going to the filter, so it might be clogged or water in the fuel tank, cause the guy before me used it as a mud truck and just beat it to death.

think it might be the pump or clogged injector's or fuel line. Cause it's still acting up(I replaced the fuel filter), ill have to check fuel pressure thursday sence im off work. Its just really pissing me off that I can't get it running right.
Its weird, itss kinda hesitent to start takes a few turns of the starter, then idles for a few min's, then sounds like its wanting to die then all of the sudden it will rev up to 1,000-1200 rpm and then idle back down. Also noticed when I first got it that if I drove to the end of my road and started brakeing to turn around that it would idle down to 100-200 rpm.

Check your O2 sensor following these directions.
EDIT: oops, I just saw the year of your Jeep...I'm not sure if the procedure is the same for non-RENIX Jeeps or not.
