93-country, very low and rough idle..
After i did the head gasket the jeep idles really low.. I thought it was a intake leak because i re-used the manifold's gasket..the jeep also had no muffler or cat convtr..So i though the low and rough idle was a combination of the two.. got a exhaust system on it, no change..new t.p.s..Yesterday i put a new gasket on the manifolds..new spark plug wires, cap and rotor.. still no change.. No vacume leaks or anything.. I pulled out the Idle air control sensor and it looked Very clean.. I dont know what to do next.. the jeep idles on the first rpm line, about 200 rpms. I dont mind working on the jeep but when things stay the same and dont get better i get aggravated... thanks in advanced guys,,, glen
Finally found the problem!!! the vacume line that runs around the engine bay to the abs has a little leak.. I patched it up and now she idles very smooth.. She still has a low idle at times, 200-400 rpms.. anyone who has any info on low idle let me know wht the prob could be, please... thanks, glen
