Hey everyone. New to the forum looking to be posting up my build and everything. looks like you guys got some good stuff in here.

I will start with my issue. So i bought a 93 cherokee about five months ago. Blew the motor from overheating. so it only ran on four cylinders.

Pulled the motor and rebuilt the whole motor. New rings, gasket set all around, 3 angle valve job and seals. resurfaced head. the works

Also purchased a new water pump, dizzy cap and rotor, plugs and wires.

Put the motor back in, go to crank it and nothing. my wires were misplaced.

so i corrected in turned it over. It fires for about five seconds than just dies. I try again an it just repeats itself. What could it Be???

 

ok well i found out that when i installed it, i bent the ring gear a little bit causing the cps so break off the housing. so i had bent it back and put a new one in. could this be the culprit from it starting up and turning right back off immediately

 

has any1 else had this problem???
