'92 XJ oil pressure sending unit leak??
Hey guys,
I just picked up this '92 Laredo and I discovered a leak on the passenger side.
After several wipedowns and neighborhood strolls I've determined it's coming from the oil pressure sending unit (specifically the male connector).
It appears there's not a strong seal where the male connects to the female, and also seems to be seeping out of the back of the male end at the wire.
Has anyone ever replaced/repaired one of these? I thought about dabbing some silicone around the wire and see if that solves the problem.
Any advice is welcome and appreciated!
Thanks! -D

Back again...same problem is occurring even though I replaced the male end adapter. Is it possible the other end of the unit is the problem? Letting too much oil through and causing the adapter to fail?
Also, oil pressure gauge is reading between 60-70 while accelerating. Drops back to around 40 at stops.
