91 Xj No Crank

Default 91 Xj No Crank

My Jeep has sit for a little while Cranked good a few times while sitting then one day about a week or so since last crank It Wouldn't Turn over just fan turn on, When you go to turn it over fan Electric fan stops turning and Doesnt Crank. I Crossed out the solenoid on the starter turned it over But wasn't Catching on the flywheel. Any help would be appreciated Have beat on starter and everything.

How many volts is needed to get it to turn?

just throw a charger on it. by the time you know the minimum volts needed you might already be able to start your jeep!

You need a fully charged battery that will pass a load test, and just because a battery has a static voltage of 12.6 volts does not mean it's good. If the battery drops bellow 9.6 volts with a 250 amp load on it, the battery is junk. So, to answer your question, you need a battery with 12.6 volts and can maintain atleast 11 volts while cranking in order to turn the engine over and still have enough voltage for the fuel pump and ignition system to work.

Fuel pump does turn on.Battery is fully charged now. It is a 1000 HotCranking amp Battery and 800 cold.What else could keep it from turning over?

by turnig over you mean as in starter not turning the motor over

Yea man just Turns doesn't catch.And the starter won't work with just turning the key The solenoid has to be crossed out for it to work. The Ignition won't turn all the way back either and steering wheel won't lock. Thanks

is this automatic either floor shifter not in park or ignition switch

Ignition Switch is what I think it may be since the window is gone on drivers side so its been getting rained on

have you tried it in neutral see if it starts just for ****s and giggles
