I have two posts up about this problem. sorry everyone.
I just let it run and bled the system, after about 5 minutes of running the water started flowing out of the radiator cap. what does this mean!!!! I dont get this and Im at the end of my rope!

By upper hose i take it you mean the outlet hose, if so no it is not suppose to flow all the time that is what the t-stat is for. The coolant coming out the rad cap after 5 min is the t-stat opening and flow through the rad causing it to escape out the open cap...I would say you have a clog some where. My 99 had the same problems and a really extreme flush followed by a new rad made it like brand new again.

Overheating in driving conditions like that doesn't surprise me.

If the cooling system is working the way it should you should never overheat to the point coolant boils out the rad cap or overflow. I bet the rad is clogged with build up and isn't transferring heat or the heat core is clogged. You should have seen what came out of my wife's core when we flushed it.

I still say he needs to do a cold backflush of the entire cooling system and radiator. If its not clogged that will clean all the crap out of it.
