Default 90 Cherokee cooling mods

Hello, now that I have the tranny figured out I need to tackle the lousy cooling system and brakes on this thing.
On my sister 90 I went to the pull a part and found a later model radiator that fit and used it and an overflow bottle to do away with the tank at the firewall and the fact the old radiator had no cap on it.
Is that still the best way to fix this?
Has anybody bought an aftermarket fill cap that just goes in the top radiator hose and did that work?
Also, this Laredo has that motor under neath the that tank against the firewall that I guess has something to do with the power brakes. Is there an easy way to do away with this? This one is pretty loud and the power brakes leave a lot to be desired.

Yes I have done the Moroso rad cap in the top hose and then swapped the bottle for an over flow bottle from AZ,works fine the pump under the coolant bottle is your ABS pump, be glad it makes noise , without it it's like tring to stop a freight train with your feet. To remove it you must totally convert the system to a newer style brake system time consuming and costly but also well worth it

Thanks. As far as the brakes go can I pull all that ABS junk out and put in a brake system from a 90 without the ABS? This thing makes a lot of noise and the brakes are not very good to say the least.
Thanks for everyone's help
