If my oil light was on and my pan was...I might install new rod bearing inserts and change the pan. That is, if I felt good about the top end. I bet that plug needs to be dead square. Any angle at all might be an issue. Hopefully a new plug, with nice proud threads will do it.

Well the oil flickering thing might not be a problem. It happened the other day, which was once this year, and since then it hasn't been that hot again - and hasn't happened since, and I don't think it will happen again.

Stupid drain plugs...
I'll probably just try to get a normal plug (different one) in there as good as I can, maybe with some thread tape.

I need to start tracking down the slightly rough idle. I was thinking about starting a new thread, but I wanted to trouble shoot a few things first. I gotta shoot the TPS tomorrow, and I'm tempted to swap out the cps, or at least shoot it. Also sounds like I'll be getting some of those Volvo injectors

After those are all done, and the idle is still a bit rough, Idk what else it'd be. It isn't even all that rough, but it's enough for me to wanna track down.

I was thinking of installing a decent and cheap tach, too, since mine doesn't have one. Kind of annoying to track down your idle situation without one.

Cruiser is the man, the sensor ground resistance test, at the very minimum. The CPS you can easily check in about the time it takes to tie your shoes. If it's putting out over .35 AC volts, I wouldn't change it. Others have had the oil plug strip more than the hole, fingers crossed! Even at one mpg the injectors will eventually pay for themselves. You might see two, and simultaneously solve other problems.

You might squirt the TPS screws with PB ahead of time. Mine turned into a real mess. A mixed blessing, the screws are soft as aluminum.

Oh I'll be going through more of your tips, trust me. Should have said: "will be starting a new thread on idle issue after doing the rest of your applicable tips this weekend and if somehow it's still idling weird."

Still been driving great. Seems a few times when I checked in the valve cover it was smoking a bit more, sometimes barely any. Not all that worried about it at this point, so I decided to shift my focus onto the idle issue, and any oil leaks. I'm thinking my oil filter adapter is leaking SLIGHTLY, I saw a bit of oil pooled right at the bottom edge of it the other night when I was doing my o2. I'll spray her down real good this weekend and really track any leaks down.

Funny! A real man seasons his Jeep cooked fish with metal shavings. (I stencil that pattern on everything, to identify. Tools, boxes, saws, ladders ect)

Just to be clear, we about all have blow-by. If it get's bad enough to foul the air filter, Cruiser has a modification that should help that.

Ya I think this was my main concern when I started this thread honestly. I kinda figured that's how it was, so I'll just live with it and make sure everything else is working well. Hopefully I'll have some time to get under there a bit more this weekend and still get some homework and stuff done.
