Hello everyone,

I have been reading here for awhile now, but this is my first post.

I have an 88 xj, 4.0 inline six, Renix fuel injection, that has no power past 65 mph. It wont go into a passing gear unless I stand on the accelerator. It has 190,000 miles on it.

The motor was rebuilt, new crank, bearings, and oil pump. I have also replaced the TPS, CPS (crank), O2 sensor, MAP sensor, all the vacuum lines, fuel pump, spark plugs, wires, and the EGR was tested. Cleaned the throttle body and injectors.

My mechanic checked the compression and timing and said both are fine. The engine thows no codes. He is telling me that it is the transmission (Automatic), but it was fine before the rebuild.

I can't get the TPS to match factory specs. ( Output 83% if input) and I have put 3 different ones in.

Any help would be great as it's summer and time to play..
