88 Wagoneer Quad Light Installation
So, I'm putting this under OEM Tech. It's all OEM. Here is a pic of my 96 Sport with 88 Wagoneer quad light header panel and grille.
Last Week:
This Week:
Only glitch was the side marker lights. They are not the same as the dual headlight set up. I will have to locate a set. The ones that were on the quad header panel were in pretty bad shape. I thought I could reuse the dual headlight set, but they dont fit. They are too short and a slightly different shape.
Note added: Just ordered a set of waggie side markers from Parts Geek. $29 for the pair delivered. Their website specifies these as correct for the quad headlight assembly.

It does look cool and more upscale. I'm sure you had to do modifications to your headlight harness.
Or did you get the harness from the waggie and just plug it in?

Not sure if the waggie harness would have plugged right in. It is the same shape and pin arrangement. (Amazing! A Jeep connector that carried over for more than one year!) But the number of wires and colors were all a mismatch, so I did not attempt to connect and smoke test it. Besides, the waggie connector was in very bad shape. So I used the 96 header panel connector and chased down what was what and soldered it onto the waggie header panel harness. Used shrink tubes over each connection to seal it all. Plugged in and worked well!

Did those end up fitting? I am having the same problem locating the Side markers. I checked Parts Geek and could not find where it said they would fit the Quad. Do you know the part number?

I'm sorry friend, but this thread is 4 years old. It's not likely you'll get your answer.
I have sent a message to HappyTrails and asked him to post the number, but I don't know if he will.

Regarding the Waggy front end, I do not have a part number, but if you use Row52.com and register and use their alert service you will find they turn up in junk yards from time to time.
Be sure to enter two alert searches:
1986 to 1990 AMC Wagoneer
and
1986 to 1990 Jeep Wagoneer
At the moment there are three of them out there.
I even found a spare that I keep on hand.
All the best.

I'm honestly impressed you found new parts. They aren't easy to find. The grille has long been discontinued and I have yet been able to track down an NOS grille. Good luck on your hunt.
