Question '88 turn signal issues

I have a 1988 wagoneer limited that I recently purchased. When I bought it the turn signals would blink very slowly, then as a couple days went by they got a little quicker but would occasionally not work. Then a couple weeks later they stopped working all together. My hazards and everything else does work. I am no mechanic by any means, but I'm pretty good at figuring things out and fixing them. I have done a few things hoping it would work, but to no avail. The things I have done listed:
-cleaned all turn signal sockets.
-new bulbs with dielectric grease
-checked all fuses that I could find
-replaced multifunction switch in steering column (what a major pain in the ### for it to not work)
-replaced the large round yellow and silver flashers on fuse panel

I am stumped and cannot afford to take it to a mechanic. If anyone could help I'd be forever grateful! Thank you in advance!

there are 2 flasher units in your fuse box. One for turn signals and one for flashers. Swap them and see what happens.

I actually replaced both of those with brand new ones.

Thank you Cruiser54, I'll definitely do that tomorrow while I'm cleaning the throttle body! I'll update the thread as soon as I can. Thanks again!

I found and cleaned the connection shown. It was definitely corroded but it didn't fix my problem. I made a mistake and didn't realize that the TPS was adjustable and took it off without checking the reference point, which I learned about from reading your guide on how to set it. Lol
Any advice on how to get the tps set without a reference point? As well as my turn signal issue. Thank you for your help! You're the best, all your info on your website is fantastic.
