OK here's my next problem
I have an 88 cherokee that I bought to make a 4x4cross jeep out of. I replaced the fuel pump and boiled the tank because it had been sitting for years and the pump and tank were both ***** of varnish and gunk. I got it running but it would never run right, 3 fuel pumps later, a new cps, fuel regulator, plugs, wires, cap and rotor button, vacuum lines, battery, alternator, muffler, cat, air filter, cleaned the throttle body and all sensors on it, ran 2 bottles of sea foam thru the tank it still won't run over half throttle without bucking and backfiring and missing. It will run below that fine and idle all day long without any problems. It will take full throttle and bounce off the rev limiter while siting still in park but won't when you drive it. I've replaced the fuel filter, flushed the lines but no better. I took out the mass air flow sensor and cleaned it thoroughly and still nothing? Any ideas would greatly be appreciated!!!!!

Check the base timing. Put a vacuum gauge on a manifold port and see what you got going on. You should have between 15 and 18hg at idle, you will have less vacuum under load, but should never have pressure. Pressure in the intake means you have a clogged exhaust.

Injectors are next, I thought about doing the #19 ford swap. I tried running with no muffler or cat and no diff, now it only has a short pipe off manifold and a stock tj muffler, but definately no blockage.
