87' XJ still misses after tune up
I recently bought an 87" Cherokee Laredo, 4.0l 6 cyl. that had been sitting for 2-3 years. I have done the following work but it is not running any better.
Drained Fuel and replaced fuel filter.
New spark plugs and wires
New distributor cap and rotor
Air filter
It seems like the missing is the worst between 30-40mph, although occasionally it misses at lower speeds too, but once I get up to 50mph it seems to run OK. I have ordered a valve cover vent and grommet and crankcase vent (front & back) as booth are cracked and deteriorating badly but I was told they probably are not the problem when it comes to the missing issue. Can someone tell me what my next step should be?
