On your 87 XJ the MAP sensor vac line plugs right into the inboard side of your throttle body. Another thing you can do which sounds like it might help you out is Remove your IAC from your throttle body and thoroughly clean it and the bore that it fits into. Also verify it is getting the proper voltage from the ECU. Also just do a thorough check all around your throttle body/intake manifild area for any other loose, cracked or missing vacuum lines. The way you say your Jeep is running, it sounds like it has a massive vacuum leak.

I don't know if that is the right spot or not, but it is a source for vacuum so you should be good. To your previous question, vacuum is just as the name implies, it is going to be a sucking force, just like a vacuum cleaner. Anything, more or less, dealing with pressure is going to be a blowing force.
Well I tried another map sensor now with the map vac line plugged into the vac port on the intake it won't idle if you leave the vac line unplugged it will idle but still runs very rich.

After freedgr's last comment I went back to re-read the thread thinking maybe something was missed. Earlier in the thread you said that the smoke was blue and then said it was fuel smoke. Did you verify that the smoke was indeed not blue, or white but in fact is black (we hope)?

It has vacume now,but the thing won't idle with the map sensor vac. line plugged into anything with vacume. It starts right up revs kinda high for a sec. then just kinda dies out,if you give it some gas it dies right then.
