have a vacuum hose hanging from front differential, where does it go, has a white fitting in the end, new at this jeep thing, bought it 2 weeks ago, already enjoyed 34 inches of snow in ky. also clumking in rear going over bumps seems back hatch hinges have some play. coulc this be it or do I need to look at the springs, shackles, etc. thanks for any info.

Could be the breather hose (not a vacuum hose) . Should be a hole at the top back part of the differential if that's what it is

On my son's 00, it goes from axle towards bottom of firewall, then up firewall with breather cap/end just below hood.

It's the breather. The white "cap" ends up near the brake master cylinder.

thanks, little confusing, vehicle not driven much last 2 years, still working on ironing out problems. looking for left rear hatch hinge for this 87 model, they are hard to find. matt
