87 cherokee Wont crank

Hello, I am new here. I am a loyal jeep owner for 27 years. I am the original owner of a 87 jeep cherokee 4.0 L. I can not get it to crank the starter with the key.
Here is what I have done thus far...
1. replaced the starter and solenoid
2. replaced the starter relay ( old silver thingy by the battery )
3. I shorted out the solenoid terminal with the starter, it cranks the motor just fine.

I do not hear any clicking from the relay.

When I turn the key to start, I am not getting voltage at the solenoid.
Is there another relay, possibly part of the group of 4 blue relays?
The only other thing I can think of is the NSS or the ignition switch.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks
Al

do any of your accesories get power get power when you turn the key on if not its ignition switch if the 87 are similar to mine there should be a brown wire on the ignition switch that is the power wire check it for 12 volts and then if that checks out check your NSS that can be removed and cleaned there are a few good posts on here of how to clean it and remove

At the rear of the steering column on top (behind the dash) there is a actual ignition switch

Looks like this

This controls all power coming from the ignition to the starter ( and other places). Mine was Burnt out when I bought my 87 waggy. Might try here.

You don't have to pull the dash just the bottom trim piece then you can reach up on top of the column to access it. It is usually easy to drop the steering column down by pulling the to 15mm bolts attached to the arms. You will see what I am talking about once you get down there. If you have any ??? Pm me. HTH:cheers:

Thanks everyone for your help. It was the NSS. I kept the key turned on as if I was trying to start the truck and slowly pulled on the shifter towards drive. It started !
I went below and adjusted the switch and all is good in the world. Since I now own two jeeps, I will most likely be visiting often . I am living proof that you are never too old to learn.
