8.5in lift parts list
Im putting a 8.5 in lift on my jeep with a long arm kit just want to know if anyone can come up with anymore parts that i need.So far i have....
8.5in springs
6.5 rear leafs with blocks
adjustable track bar
S.Y.E with transfer case drop bracket
custom driveshaft
all the shocks
brake line extension kit
quick disconnects
long arm kit
This is what i have got so far just wondering if anyone can think of any more parts or what not and anyone that has done a lift this big what is done to yours and what problems did you run into

Someone on here posted about using a Wrangler SYE with a large lift to eliminate yoke binding problems. Something you might want to check into. I don't know.

Well I would go with shackle instead of the blocks. If you get the right SYE and length DS then I would use some 6 degree shims not the tc drop. You will need a 3" drop pitman and the steering will need to be looked at too. What Long arm kit are you looking at? Just make sure you use one with frame bracing. Ihave never went that big I have always been happy with 6"-7" alot of stock stuff needs to be replaced when you go bigger. Good luck

you are gonna want to go to at least a Dana 44 front from the tj Rubicon or right from jeep for the tj and i would go a 60 rear for this much lift i asume you want a pretty large tire like a 37 maybe

Are you only running 33's to save money or something? 8" of lift could easily fit 35's, and maybe 37's.

Well only because peoples opinions get in the way of their ability to answer the question. No matter how you fell about a 8"+ lift if that is what he wants to do to HIS Jeep than more power to him. All he wanted to know was if he was missing any thing from his parts list for the lift. For all we know he has a set of rockwells set to go in or something else in mind. If he want our opinions on what to do he would have ssaid I want to go 8"+ what do you think. Right?
