Elect. connecter where do it go

88 XJ getting reassembled after not taking any notes or photos a year and a half ago. Getting there, but there's a couple of connectors that look like they "go together", near firewall back of valve cover, but they don't want to go together for some reason no matter how much I wiggle them. Starting to think maybe they aren't supposed to

... can anyone tell me what these connectors are and what they connect to? Thanks

I see, green one is MAP sensor, which is missing, oops. Black is CPS, are those things important? Sorry

The question was just a dumb joke on my part. Mostly because I was feeling a bit silly because I took the MAP sensor off myself so it wasn't in the way pulling the engine, then forgot about it.
