I can't beleive the mysery I'm going thru with a 3" lift and a hack n tap.
Rough Country tells me they include a 6* shim on their series 2 leaf packs. WHY????? I really don't know.....might be the original cause of my mysery.
anyhoo..... I have vibes, I'm chewing up X-fer case`seals, after puttin the angle finder to the test..even with the installed 6* shims..There is STILL 5 degrees difference between the rear end pinion and the driveshaft. as in my pinion reads 10....and the driveshaft reads 15...
I don't think stacking shims sounds too cool....soooooo, all I can find online is up to 8* shims.

really? on a 3" lift? eek!
i'd hate to say it, bit if you have a H'n'T along with shims and you got vibes, you might want to check your axles pinions. hopefully those may not need to be repaired/replaced.
and to ease my curiosity, you don't have the axles over-rotated by chance?

if i'm trying to find parts for cheap, i use Google Shopping and search using that, or go to Amazon.com. both turn up pretty good results.

Nope....the shims are pointing the right way....I just got done pulling the shaft and flange off.....started tuggin on the TC output shaft...and there seems to be an ever so slight amount of play up in there...my guess is that there should be none whatsoever...right???? Maybe time for a bearing replacement there. At least it picked a beautiful day to be sick...wish I was driving SOMEWHERE in this weather...rather than working in it.
