4x4 shift lever problems!!!!!
 

i have a 91 cherokee xj, just got my front drive shaft in today, and went to shift into 4 high, and the lever just moved, transfer case never engaged! :cursing: any advice on how to get this **** thing working again?

Check your linkage.

linkage is off climb under and look

what all is required to fix linkage?

Socket wrench with proper fitting socket.

Depends on whats wrong.Get yourself a haynes or a chiltons.

Does your Linkage look like this?
 

I have the same shifting problem.
Stuck in Hi won't go into low.
