okay so every now and then when i pull my lever to engage 4x4 my back tires will still spin but i can hear a noise that sounds like the front driveshaft just free spinning but then ill either put it in reverse or drive and it locks right in...anyone else have this problem??

 

Sounds to me like your pulling the handle right into the neutral position..

try not pulling it up so far and see how that works..

 

well when it does it the full time light is on and im not sure but i think it might even happen in 4 low too

 

Mine will sometimes not engage till I put it in park or neutral and even sometimes It will work if I go from first to reverse then back to first.

It makes no noise though?

 

well its a different noise it just sounds like the driveshafts are free spinning from the transfercase...thats when i let off the gas and change gears then it decides to pull like a bat out of hell lol

 

vac lines maybe?
