4wd Problems - sticking in 2nd gear and loose steering
Last week I used my 4wd in the snow and it worked fine just as it did last year. This last weekend I used it after we received 4-5 inches of snow and I have been having some problems.
While in 2wd it shifts smooth, drive straight and no problems. When I put it in 4wd it seems to be sticking in 2nd gear. The engine becomes very whiny and loud and then my steering is very loose and hard to control.
I tried to stop while in 4wd, put in neutral and then put in 2wd drive. The light goes off, but it doesn't seem to go out of it until I park, shut it off and turn it back on in 2wd and everything is fine again. I checked the fluids about five months ago and plan on checking it again tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone has had the same issue or know what could be causing this.
Thanks for everything!

I only have used it in the snow, ice or shortly after the snow when some streets are clean and some are not, but the streets would have still been wet from the snow melting.
