4.9 stroker
Hi I'm new to the forum and I would like to put a 4.9 in my Cherokee but I read that anything over 4.7 is " playing with danger" can someone inform me why please thanks

There's no way to make the cylinder walls thicker. Boring the block=thinner cylinder walls.

Then the cylinders would be even smaller in diameter.
The only way to build a large displacement stroker is to make the cylinders LARGER in diameter. That means removing material, not adding to it.

you are correct but i was talking sleeve to keep the block strong . Then bore the sleeve to the max . thats what they do in large small block chevys and ford strokers.
