Go in and search backspacing here on the forum, that should get your question answered. When I upgraded I called a couple tire outfits and asked a bunch of questions to figure mine out, I was going for barely legal (sticking out a little but not enough to fail) I cannot remember for the life of me what the number was. Nice looking Jeep by the way, be sure to post some pics with the new setup!

3.75-4.0 is about the norm, I think.

how much space do you have to work with? stock backspacing is 5.25" so do the math

I dont have the magic number but remember that the amount it sticks out will depend on the width of the wheel and not just the backspacing. If you go with a typical 15x8 rim, even if it had the same backspacing as the stock wheels it would still sit out a little bit further because stock wheels are 15x7. Good luck. By the way the jeep looks great! What tires are you running?
