I had my 93 Cherokee out mudding about 2 month ago nd am having some major issues now she has not ran since...

It will crank over but will not fire i have checked just about every thing, spark, timing, compression... i have been told it could be the crank position sensor, but i have also been told that because i have spark it cant not be to CPS is this true?

i have replaced the cap nd rotor, plugs nd wires... any sugestions would be a great
any other things i should check?

when you were mudd'n what caused it to shut off...we need to know the basics first...

auto shut down relay or shut off relay...forgot the name....that advice is from left field...put gas in it..ha

how deep was the water? did you suck some into your motor?

there is gas in it ha but idk about how much fuel pressure there is, how much should there be?

yea i did suck some it to the motor, but it ran after words i drove it home

not sure if your 93 has one but check the balast resistor. it controls the fuel pump, it might only be on renix jeeps not sure

Have you checked the wires leading to the distributor from the rear of engine from loom? They can get broken easily. they run along side the eng. behind oil filter. One maybe tied into the crank sensor.

the fuel pressuer is fine just checked it, i think i am going to just replace the CPS and if that doesnt work, ill pull the motor nd i have my winter project lol
