4.0 head gasket ???

Is there a difference in head and manifold gaskets from year to year on the 4.0? I ask because mine bent a valve so I'll be replacing the head this weekend. Although my XJ is a '92, I know the engine has already been swapped (no idea what it came out of) and the head that I'll be installing is off a '98 (I think). I'm seeing different part numbers and conflicting info' on the 'net. Can someone help?

Engine: 4.0, new lifters valve job with new springs and exhaust valves, preload set with shims

Better off having your head fixed then to import unknown problems with a different used head, imho, and yes quite likely there is a difference.

There were definitely iterations in the castings, but I believe that they all interchange. Check the part numbers on O'Reilly's for heads across the years concerned. Are they the same part number? Post the answer here for others to know.
