2wd not engaging after SYE ???
I just got finished with a SYE eliminator kit from rugged ridge. Everything went together great. this kit did not come with a rear cv drive shaft. I have to measure and send off for a custom built shaft.
Noiw i only have the front shaft connected. When i shift transfer case I can tell the difference between 4 hi and 4 low, and shift to N. When I shift to 2wd the fron wheels pull as if were in 4 hi. I have an NP231J transfer case. Any answers??

Pretty sure you're going to need to roll the truck in reverse for 15-20 feet with the lever in the 2wd position to disengage the tcase/hubs. This works best on my 96 every time.

Yeah seems as if because you dont have a rear shaft in its having difficulty disengaging, almost as if needs like torque from the shaft. trying putting it into 2wd and doing reverse then drive a few times.
Now i dont know the difference between the Advance Adapters SYE and the Rugged Ridge one. but with the AA one a front drive will work in the back because the yokes match up and everything, thats what i am running in my truck and many others do as well. It looks in the pictures that they are the same SYE. So for temporary try putting your front shaft in the rear and give it a shot.
