The 235's will be wider and a bit taller. Do the 235's, you won't be sorry.

I took my 96 to WalMart to get the Wranglers (235) and they would not put them on. Vehicle sticker says 215's. Said DOT was cracking down on them and they wouldn't even sell me the tires outright. My build sheet for this Jeep says it came factory with 225's LOL. I won't be going there again. Ended up with four new Firestone Destinations. White Wall out of course.

Take a look at my albums under my profile. I have Firestone Destination AT in 235/75-15. My XJ has a 2" lift, and I used 1.5" spacers on the factory Jeep Ravine wheels to push them out a tad further. This will give you an idea of what to expect on the look.

Did you happen to get this in writing? Other than some truly wacked out gun shop stories that's got to be the strangest thing I've ever heard.

I had the same question and went for the 235s. Get them, you won't be sorry. Your speedometer will be off by around 3 or 4 MPH but that's no biggie.

Only walmart man. Only at walmart. I took the Jeep to Expert Tire and even got an alignment so I was happy. No problems in the alignment and felt all warm and fuzzy from it.
