2001 XJ - Speedo delay, automatic transmission jerk on stops, randomly
Hello fellow jeepers!
My jeep drives and run "fine" however I do have a worry, the speedometer will not move if i drive below 10km/h I need to drive around 10km/h for it to start moving, and then it moves fine through the acceleration. Is this normal? shouldn't it start moving as soon as I move food away from brake pedal? I had a 2000 xj sport earlier on, did not notice this delay. Automatic transmission, sometimes when I come to a total stop, often if i brake down from cruise speed, the car will give like a jerk, or "move" it won't move the wheels, but it's like a rough stop, oil levels are fine, oil looks red not burned, can this problem occur because of the speedometer problem? Does the transmission get inacurate speed information and therefor stops sluggish, like too late according to wheels? Any information on this would be greatly appriciated, jeep shows no error codes, in general it runs like a champ, but it does worry me and I want to fix it preemptively Regards Kenneth - Denmark |
