2000 XJ-stiff steering
Over the last few weeks my 2000 XJ's steering has gotten noticably stiffer. When I make turns and let the wheel straighten out it feels like it is indexed as it turns. I'm also starting to get a low pitched squeak when I start to move after it has been parked for a while.
The front wheels also seem to be binding on turns.
This is also my DD. I have not modded anything. The drivetrain and suspension are stock. My guess is the TC. Possibly the VC joint?
Anybody have any ideas?

Check your ball joints. Ever take it in mud, sand or water? Any of this will get in to the grease boots and into the joints causing binding. You could grease them first. Well, the upper ones anyway. This also applies to your tie rod ends as well. Other possibilities are power steering pump or steering box.

Check your power steering fluid. If dark flush it. It may help but I bet ur pump is on its way out the door. But flushing the fluid can help it last a little longer. But check the stuff mentioned above as well.
