2000 XJ engine swap
Looking to tap some experience with engine swaps. I have 2000 with about 200k and it's knocking like a mother! I'd like to swap it out and debating on maybe a reman short block and pulling stuff off my old engine. My old one has a Alabama head with about 15k on it so the head is not an issue or should I just go for the long block reman? Or a junkyard motor and rebuild my old one ? Not sure what is the issue with the old one spun bearing likely. Any suggestions? Any suggestions on remains too?
